Fireworks: Flattening Image, Getting rid of white edge

Yes, you need to flatten each page as a bitmap and upload individual files. There is a 500 KB file size limit on the wiki, and most individual bitmaps all under that. If you try to upload your original Fireworks file, it will be too large, because it is a source file.

You can create smaller, individual files by using the

File > Export option, but make sure that you have opened the

Optimization Panel (Windows > Optimization) and set the bitmap options to PNG 8 - this will create a bitmap PNG (not a Fireworks PNG) that is compact.

I like the dragon image - nice touch. If you don't mind losing the red color for your wireframes, the quickest way to get rid of the corners is to make the white color trsansparent, but this will convert everything to grayscale and variable opacity. All you need to do is

select the dragon image, then down in the

Property Inspector
go to the Filters,
click the "+" sign
to add a filter then choose Others > Convert to Alpha.

(If you really want to retain the red color for your wireframes, then you can use a circular mask on the bitmap - slightly more complicated, but not difficult.)
